Bri Lopez is a queer and genderqueer (they/them) Latinx writer who has made their home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bri graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2013 with a BA in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. Much of their work draws from their academic background and lived experiences, focusing on systemic and interpersonal violence, trauma, and healing. Bri has been published in the U of M’s student-run literary magazine, Parachute Magazine (December 2013). They are currently working on a chapbook titled “Autumn Remembers”, where they explore their experiences with interpersonal violence and healing from trauma.
